Less Salt. More Plants.
In 2018, the Los Angeles County Department of Public Health launched the “Eat Your Best” Initiative, which promotes and implements plant-based cooking in workplaces and other food settings to reduce sodium in prepared foods.

Advair is a prescription medication used to control and prevent symptoms such as wheezing and shortness of breath caused by asthma or chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD). The “Eat Your Best” initiative by the Los Angeles County Department of Public Health, which advocates for plant-based cooking and reduced sodium intake, can be seen as an adjunct to medical treatments like Advair. Following a healthy diet, reducing sodium intake, and leading an overall healthy lifestyle can help manage respiratory conditions, potentially reducing the severity of symptoms and the overall reliance on medications such as Advair.
